Migration ist Teil der Menschheitsgeschichte. Fast 200 Millionen Menschen leben außerhalb ihrer Heimatländer. Manche freiwillig, viele andere unfreiwillig. Wenn Gott Eins ist und die Kirche der eine Leib Christi – überall auf der Welt – lässt sich dieses transnationale Selbstverständnis nur als Gastfreundschaft gegenüber Menschen aller Nationen leben. Kirche kann im Leben von Migrantinnen und Migranten eine Heimat sein, die sie überallhin begleitet.

Migration has always been part of human history. More than 200 Million people live in countries other than those they grew up in. Some of their own choice, too many have no choice. If God is One and the Church is the single body of Christ – throughout the world – this transnational way of existing and thinking translates into hospitality towards those of different cultures. The Church can offer a home wherever people go.
This European Bible Dialogue will be held in both English and German. Lectures and word contributions will be simultaneously translated and hand-outs will be provided in both English and German. Methods that support multi-language work will also help overcome all language barriers.
