How can we imagine – and jointly act for – a Europe that assumes its responsibilities and puts respect for human rights into practice, within and beyond its borders? What can we learn from each other’s experiences in Europe? Which alliances do we want to strengthen?
During this workshop, young adults jointly develop their own vision on best practices and routes for improving the situation of immigrants. This will be based on participants' own expertise and experiences and on the input of invited guests. We will also have discussions with experts and activists who work in the field of integration and migration both in Germany and in other countries. The program includes a visit to Berlin, where we will visit migrant initiatives and have a guided tour on migrants’ perspectives on the city.
The international youth exchange is organized in collaboration with IONA community, Adelfia, the World Student Christian Federation (WSCF) and in the context of the Oikosnet network.
The participation of young adults aged between 18 and 26 will be prioritised. The workshop will be held in English. We will cover travel costs, food and accommodation.
We ask interested participants to send a short e-mail to Dr. Hannah Schilling, schilling@eaberlin.de, specifying: age, nationality of origin, reason for being interested in the workshop.
